Getting Started with Knolu

You're live in minutes. Here's everything you need to know.

Set up your warehouse map
Log in as admin and open the Warehouse Generator. Tap to place racks on the floor map — name each rack (A, B, C...), set the number of rows and slots per row, and choose horizontal or vertical orientation. Drag to reposition. Hit Save when done.

Your map will automatically appear on the main screen for all workers.
💡 Start simple — you can add more racks later. Get 3–4 main aisles placed first.

Add your workers
Share your 6-character join code with your team. Workers go to knolu.com, tap Join with a code, and enter the code to create their account. They're immediately connected to your warehouse.

Find your join code in the warehouse generator or by asking your Knolu admin.
💡 Your join code is case-insensitive. Workers only need it once — after that they log in with email and password.

Receive your first pallet
Tap Receiving from the map. Enter the pallet ID, lot number, expiration date (if applicable), and part number. Choose the destination slot on the map. Hit Receive.

The pallet will appear immediately on the map in the slot you chose.
💡 Pallet IDs can be your existing format — PLT-001, whatever you use today. No need to change anything.

Request and complete a move
Tap any slot on the map to open the pallet detail. Tap Request Move and enter the destination slot. A worker picks up the request in My Tasks, accepts it, starts the move, scans the destination, and marks it complete.

Every step is logged automatically with a timestamp and operator name.

Ship outbound
Open Outbound from the map. Create a shipment with your BOL number, destination, and carrier. Add the pallet IDs being shipped. When the truck leaves, tap Mark Shipped. Everything is logged to history automatically.

Common questions
Do workers need to download an app?
No. Knolu runs in any mobile browser. Workers just go to knolu.com on their phone and log in. No app store, no IT involvement.
What if a pallet isn't in the system yet?
Use Receiving to log it. You can receive a pallet at any time and it will appear on the map immediately.
Can I have multiple floors or zones?
Yes. In the warehouse generator, use the floor tabs to add additional pages. Each floor has its own map view.
How do I get my data out?
Go to Reports, set a date range, and hit Export CSV. You'll get a full log of every receive, move, and shipment event.
What if something breaks?
