Knolu ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and their warehouse operators. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
1. Data We Collect
When you use Knolu, we collect the following types of data:
- Account data: Email addresses and authentication credentials for administrators and operators
- Warehouse configuration: Rack layouts, slot maps, and warehouse structure you create in the system
- Operational data: Pallet records, lot numbers, expiration dates, locations, and movement history
- Usage data: Timestamps, operator actions, and audit logs generated by the system
2. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data solely to provide and improve the Knolu Service:
- To authenticate users and manage access to your warehouse
- To display real-time warehouse state and inventory information
- To record and audit pallet movement history
- To provide customer support when requested
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore), a cloud database platform operated by Google LLC. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by security rules that ensure each customer can only access their own data.
4. Data Isolation
Each warehouse account operates in a completely isolated data environment. Operators can only access data belonging to their assigned warehouse. Knolu administrators do not access customer data except when required for support with your explicit permission.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your subscription is active. Upon termination of your account, you may request a data export within 30 days. After that period, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about your warehouse and operators
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data upon account termination
- Export your warehouse and movement data in a portable format
7. Cookies
Knolu uses Firebase Authentication which may store authentication tokens in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. We will notify active customers of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
